Xandar Kardian is preparing a multi-site research study with cardiology programmes in Taiwan and Hong Kong, with a US site in discussion. The study will test whether breathing, heart-rate and heart-rhythm measures from the XK300 can give early warning of heart-failure events and flag irregular rhythms such as atrial fibrillation.
Breathing rate and pattern, resting heart rate and time in bed, each against the person's own baseline, compared with documented heart-failure events.
Heartbeat Clarity, an XK research measure, compared with an ECG patch as the reference for atrial fibrillation.
Protocol and ethics review in progress. Not yet enrolling. Sites are set; we are not adding hospitals at this stage.
Regulatory status. These are investigational uses. The XK300 is FDA-cleared (K202464) to measure heart rate and breathing rate in adults. It is not cleared to detect, predict or diagnose heart failure or arrhythmia, and nothing on this page is a claim that it does.
The study design, the research behind it and an explainer video are shared individually. Every request is reviewed by a person at Xandar Kardian. If approved, you receive a personal link by email, valid for 30 days.
Patients and families: these materials describe research, not a product you can use for heart failure or heart rhythm. Please talk to your doctor about your care.
